Trap speed tells me its most likely a stock car on a DR, that guy definitely had some skill to get that Z06 off the line like that but again that depends on what DR he was running.

Man he left sooner, and trapped 5 mph higher...but that 5.0 barely....barely lost...damn those things are quick! What mods for the 5.0?

Trap speed tells me its most likely a stock car on a DR, that guy definitely had some skill to get that Z06 off the line like that but again that depends on what DR he was running.

It really needs a set of cams to get the full power out of the current mods. There is no weight reduction other than removing the spare tire and jack and of course the wheels/tires. The car weighed 3,680 lbs.

The heads flow downright insane stock, and even better with some clean up. I think its going to take a lot of lift and a raised redline to take advantage of all the airflow. But still trapping 121 mph shows that the car is really moving on the top end of the track. Are you thinking 500 rwhp is possible with a raised redline of around 8,000 rpm and high lift cams?

I think cams will make a huge difference. The car already shifts every gear at 7,800 rpms.

On that run if i was driving the 5.0 i would have started throwing shit out of the window lol! Very impressive car for the little mods it has. Who would have thought the little 5.0 would be that strong.

When we first put it together we mixed 93 and 100 octane, but the last tank and last time we had it at the track it ran 100% 93 octane pump gas.

If only Ford would make a TiVCT version of a 42x cube engine and put it in the GTs, Cobras, etc.
