Over Revved - thought it was DEAD

Well had a lil scare for a brief few minutes earlier today at the track - I must off got a lil carried away in the burn out box and got on the limiter, I think because the car went in to limb mode and the check engine light came on- at first I thought I puked the trans, or the converter because it wouldn't rev up- Well when I got back in the pits I shut it off and waiting 10 seconds or so and restarted it and it seems to be fine - the check engine light went off and it drove fine- no code was thrown - anyone else every have this happen? im thinking the trans shifted to 3rd which has a higher rev limiter, but not sure- anyone else ever have this scare?

Yep that has happened to me a few times while using nitrous--in my case it was because of the wire for the WOT activation off of the throttle body was messing with the voltage--so sometimes it would throw the dreaded wrench--go into limp mode. Just cycled the key and everything was fine.

Since the engine light is not flashing, and you have no codes, you should be ok.
