P0622 Code

So the back ground. Back in june/July I replaced the battery and alternator. This past Saturday I went to take the car out and my battery light is on. I drove it to advance auto and the alternator tested out with 0 volts but the battery tested perfect with nothing being drained? I replaced the alternator and the light went off and I parked it until today. I turn the car on and so does the battery light pulling the same p0622 code as it did saturday.

I checked fuse 43 and it's still good not blown or everything looks perfect. The car runs smooth and nothing else is acting crazy. I'm thinking it could possibly be a short but I have no idea where to start to look for it. I'm not to electrical savvy but I can do basic electronic stuff like read/use a multimeter and make basic electrical connections

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sub'd I get the same pending code but never turns into a real CEL but I do get the "check charging system" once in a while. no idea what it could be all grounds are intact (just cleaned the SJB too like brand new) Other then the pending code and the occasional message the car runs fine. fuck me ehh

Yea I was skimming through a thread you had earlier thought you had it fixed. I just want to take it out and it starts run on the battery and get stranded

Do you have an aeroforce gauge?

If not, just use a multimeter and connect it to your cigarette lighter wiring and check the voltage as you drive the car at different RPMs.

What alternator are you running...?

You need an OEM alternator...or an upgraded alternator from gmitch or performance distributors.

No aeroforce just a oil pressure and wide band.

Ok I'll give that a try. It's just an Advance auto reman.

Those autopart alternators don't work... Thats been my experience, unless you like to replace them every 3 months or so.

I don't mind replacing them every few months just not the next day haha. I'm going to do some more poking around and checking every wire off the alternator.
