I think it would fit, since it goes low and the bar comes across at the bottom of the license plate---where as the chute mount is in the center of the license plate.

My thinking was more about the mounting location rather than the path of the bar. Seems the plates go in the same spots/overlap o n the bumper.

yes--but the mounting plate for the bumper replacement is very thin, you could put that on first then mount the parachute bar over it (with regards to the one mounting hole they would share).

EDIT--nope, scratch that--it wouldn't work because it would run into the bar that is close to the mounting point. The only way it would work is if the bumper replacement was placed over the parachute mounting bar.

We put the handle on the other side as we are still using the ebrake, but wanted it easily in reach.

I have yet to pull it still..lol

sort of amusing to me that "Tech" requires one to have a chute, but not to actually deploy it.

I like that idea to. I have nitrous bottles on that side, but it seems there would still be plenty of room. Looks like that way would have the most room.

Exactly. I plan to use mine once while recording a rear facing video, but then other then that, only use it if I get out of shape after the 1/8th mile or if something goes wrong with the brakes---which is why I mounted mine where I did, as I needed it to be somewhere where I didn't have trouble grabbing it quickly. When the crap hits the fan, you usually don't have a lot of time to react.

i told myself at chicago last year, if i make it to the superbowl, and win the super bowl, i'll pull it

well, i saw my win light come on (didn't realize that it was on the whole time because he red lit), that i was giving the "hell yea, hell yea)

and by the time i remembered, i was only doing like 100mph, lol

i had my wife and daughter and a buddy, all ready to snap pictures lol

I pulled mine on the street the first time. Lol. I would suggest you all at least try it so you know how it feels incase you do need it! Also they shouldn't be stored all packed up. If the car/chute isnt going to be used for a while it should be unpacked.

Yes, good advice, which is exactly why I chose to mount the release lever the way I did. I sat down in the seat, had my gloves on, and belted in. The spot I chose was where it felt "best" to me--all though there are several possibilities.

Write up finished on post #1--I updated it last night.
