Pinion seal leak

got a leak coming from the pinion seal, got a new seal gonna change it on saturday but before i start anyone got any tips pointers, also Need to know waht size the pinion nut is so i dont start taking shit off and then realize i have to put it back together to get a new socket or wrench.

I did mine a few months ago and I think its a 36mm but not as 100% on that.

gotta replace mine as well and the pinion bearings. somethng nice to come home too. lol

RTV the hell out if the seal flange and install it wet.

I had to install a solid sleeve on mine instead of the crush sleeve. My seal leaked a couple of times and I replaced it but it would start leaking soon after again. I went with a solid sleeve and have not had an issue in over two years. Several other folks I know had the same issue and the solid sleeve solved their leak too.

just replaced mine in my 02 GT, only special tool I needed was a 2 jaw puller. Took me an hour from start to finish on the seal. Then I pulled the rear cover and did a new gasket back there. Hell, I think it took longer to refill the diff than it did to swap the parts
