Fucker that works for me was moving my car so I could get a work truck where I wanted it. He hits the fucking curb and busts my heat exchanger! OMG I'm fucking hot!!!

Anyway, can this car be driven home or do I need to leave it here at the shop and drive a work truck? Don't want to burn anything up.

GD I'M HOTTTTT!

so there is no fluid in the HE?

if you stay out of boost, keeping the IATs near ambient you'll be fine.

if you have your SCT in the car you can monitor them as you drive on the hand held.

Thanks Dave!
I have my Areoforce which shows IAT and I keep my tuner in the car, too.

Thanks for your help.

Wasn't planning to install my AFCO Dual Fan HE at this time, but looks like it's going in tomorrow.

Thanks for the quick reply.

You'll be fine, stay out of boost like Dave said. Pulling the fuse to the pump is an excellent suggestion as well. The car computer will pull timing as needed to prevent detonation so there's very little chance of damage.

Couple pics.
I'm not so much pissed about the busted HE as I am the fucked up paint on the bumper cover.
And he says "I barely hit the curb."

Sorry to see this, awesome suggestion on the fuse...

And... Um... Light touch my ass. May have felt light because of all the flexing that front end did.. But had it been a rear impact.. I bet he would feel a lot different about the word "Barely"...

Looks like he's pitching in toward buying you a new bumper cover...

That may very well happen...ESPECIALLY since the one you see was brand damn new in July. It replaced the original Roush cover when that girl backed into my car and took out the fender & bumper cover.

My good friend is head cheese of a body shop here. I'll have him look at it some time next week.

I do have a question...
I just cleared a spot at the shop and left the car parked inside.
Gonna change the HE tomorrow.

What do I refill with?
Water Wetter?
Antifreeze?
Water?

Clueless on this.....

It's a small capacity system so you only need about 4-5 oz of Water Wetter. Last time around I used about 10-20% antifreeze and water, this time I'm using Water Wetter.

I can only relate my personal experience with water wetter, and it totally ate up some of the aluminum parts in my system (turbo Ranger 2.3 with custom IC). Up to you, but I'd say stick with antifreeze.

There is a issue with WW, aluminum and distilled water IIRC

I run Water Wetter in my IC system and coolant system in my 5.4L without a problem. Water Wetter is specifically designed to be a corrosion inhibitor, and actually protects aluminum.

It's more likely you had a contaminant or something else (like De-Ionized water) in your system that caused a corrosion issue. Water Wetter certainly won't hurt aluminum components.
