My daughter has a 2012 V6 premium that her and I didn't care for the rims. Wanting different rims and maybe black, I got a set of 2012 base GT rims and went to work. They result is nice. The glossifier adds only a little sheen. For the cost of the glossifier and the potential problems making touch ups harder, I would do without it. It was good to use as a "sealer" for the plasti-dip black after I cut the blue oval out to make a protection on the cut. First pic is the original rims.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1352575790.548347.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1352575807.690231.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1352575826.539752.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1352575848.285806.jpg

Not bad. Looks better than stock, takes the focus off the wheels as much. i did the same to mine!. Until i get new wheels.

For the price of doing it, I really like it. Heck, there's no other way to change the look of the wheels for that small amount of money really. The car looks much better with the Gt wheels on it

For 1 step further, I would go back and cut out the ring around the ford emblem (outside edge of the cap) and then cut out the flat part of the lip of the wheel, and "regloss". That would give it contrast. I just can't get over the idea that I'm looking at a spare when I see a smaller diameter flat black wheel. That's just me though. Props if you like it.
