I searched and could only find information on swapping from a premium lcd guage from a base model for 2011+ . Is it possible to do this in a 2010?
Kind of what I thought but figured why not check. The 2010 is like the redheaded stepchild of the group.I would guess NO since the 2010 is a 4.6L engine, 2011+ is the Coyote, so the cluster works on a much different ECM... but that's just a guess
Well, the cluater works in my 07 with a 2013 pcm after PATS was disabled. But the cluster does not show up in IDS unless I wire in the original v6 pcm temporarily.I would guess NO since the 2010 is a 4.6L engine, 2011+ is the Coyote, so the cluster works on a much different ECM... but that's just a guess
Interesting. What is IDS again? Was it plug and play or did you have to make an adapter harness. Your running a 3v motor off the 2013 pcm?Well, the cluater works in my 07 with a 2013 pcm after PATS was disabled. You put in a good amount of work then. I don't think I could use a newer pcm with my 3v motor though.IDS is the Ford dealer diagnostic software.
Not running a 3v, it is a coyote swap/coyote pcm with the 2007 cluster still in place. And no, not plug&play. I repined the C175B pcm connector.
If you tear tag in with the old PCM teartag number, the cluster should show up. It always did for me whenever I used IDS after my swap. IDS wouldn’t ID my car unless I used the teartag for either my coyote PCM or my old 3V PCM since it doesn’t recognize the calibration part number.Well, the cluater works in my 07 with a 2013 pcm after PATS was disabled.
