Power seat lost the function to move forward and back. I want to hope its just the switch and not the motor. Can anyone explain if i have the switch out of the car if i can test the leads with a voltage meeter?

You'd need to know to pin out so you which pins are shorted together for which switch position.

Same thing happened to our 06. Swapped out the switch and all was good

you should be able to, im not very knowledgeable as far as voltage meters, but i do know that theres a setting to test for continuity. if you put one lead on the power in, and then the other on the output from the switch, it should get a reading when you activate the switch. test it on the ones you know work and it will tell you if the others arent
