I am about to start trying to get the car back together with tax season being here. That being said I need a set of pistons for my short block. I am using Eagle H beams with arp bolts and stock cast crank. I am thinking about using probe pistons for the build and I wanted to get feedback on them from you all. Any specific reason I should not get them? The car's goal is around 600hp. I know there are many options...diamond, je, etc etc, but I have a line on some probes that fit the bill as far as compression ratio, size, and money goes.

Thanks,
Mike

I have no advice for you on the pistons that you asked about but was told about these.

Hard to beat this deal and they come with rings and all. Stock bore and stroke.

I was going to use a set of those for my build, He was selling a set for $398 at the time.

I passed on them after I found a deal on a set of custom Diamond pistons with Total Seal SS rings, Those CP/Saleen Pistons come with moly rings.

I'd say the Probe piston would work if you get a good price and I'd go with SS ring's instead of moly since you're FI ...

Good luck with your build ..
