I don't know if any of you have experienced this problem before but a solution to it would be nice...

I was in the middle of changing my tune from my "race" tune to my "torque" tune in the middle of it it stopped and an error message popped up. Before someone asks no I didn't knock the wire out.

Now it won't let me edit OR change my tune..

It says

ERROR 1034

Download Failure Detected. Please Return Vehicle to stock IF the vehicle does not start.

The vehicle starts and runs fine on the torque tune but for some reason I can't do shit with my tunes now..

SCT tuner?

When changing tunes, a way to avoid all the error messages warning lights is:

Put on the stock tune first, then add the new modded tune.

I had the same problem, and the SCT tech told me to that every time, it works like a charm.

Not sure if this will have anything to do with it, but I had a ****** of a time yesterday switching tunes I tried like 5 times, then finally I got out of the car and left the door open (as opposed to me sitting in the car with the door closed) and it worked. I didn't get that same error message, but just throwing it out there. Is your tuner an X3 or SF3?

It's X3 and I tried both ways Alloy..

And Teacher I HIGHLY doubt it will let me go back to the stock tune and even if it does I don't want to risk it not letting me get back to one of my other tunes cause it wouldn't be fun to drive with a stock tune with my mods...Def wouldn't be the greatest idea..

Haha, TY for the free bump, I've heard SCT doesn't have the greatest customer service but if that's what I gotta try next so be it..

I ficked up my tuner by going from one custom tune to another without taking the car back to stock inbetween, and SCT fixed mine for free through their mobile app. I was pleased, and relieved:)

Had to bring this back up. My x3 locked me out tonight and I couldn't figure out what was up. Gave a error code 1034. Anyways I waited till I got back home to reload my stock tune. Took some time but finally after I reflashed back to stock I was able to load my tunes again. Hope this helps someone that might have this trouble.
