Thanks. It will run a lot better to once I get used to the car. Its already 3/10ths faster to the 330 vs my best run ever with the old set up--and that is with me not knowing what I am doing yet. When everything is said and done, I hope just on motor alone this car will be a full second faster then the old set up, which would be 9.1Xs. Thats the goal at least.

I'm sure you'll get there with seat time. The experience is such a huge factor as I recently found out!

I believe so. I will be at the PSCA July1-3 race for sure. I need to read up on the NMRA/NMCA event to see what class I can run.

Latest times---1/8th mile of a 6.04 and a 6.05. Cars that run the 9.60 index in the 1/4 mile run 6.15 in the 1/8th for reference.

This car will be in the high 9.30s soon with more practice and suspension tuning. There is still 1/10th left in the 60 foot. A 1.378 60' is pretty soft for this combo.

I know I already posted this in the drag race forum, but want all the info on one thread also for people that search and find this later.

Also, had a photo shoot with MM&FF--don't know if the car will end up in the magazine though, or when. From what I understand, if the car does make it, it won't actually be in the mag for 5-6 months.

I need to drop the front some, but its pretty tight getting the car on/off the trailer now so......

START SAYING THIS PRAYER IN THE BURNOUT BOX!

"As I lay rubber down the street,
I pray for traction I can keep,
but if I spin and begin to slide,
please dear God protect my ride." -Amen

Some more 6.0s at 116mph in the 1/8th, need more suspension tuning and better DA, but 5's will come. Will try again next week.

Well the stock radiator wasn't really cutting it, even for just a drag application, as I don't want to push the car up through the staging lanes to the burnout box. So I needed something to keep the car between 150 to 180 degrees longer.

As it stood with the stock radiator, if I pulled into the burnout box at 180, the car would be 210 by the time I parked it back at the pits.

Also what is interesting to note is one time I pulled up to the line with the water temp only at 140 (I was first in line that time). The car just blew the tires off---which got me thinking---I looked at the dyno sheet and the water temp was only 120 when it was dyno'd---I am thinking with 16:1 compression this thing must really like "cold" water.

So I went with a 3 row radiator. I did a very non-official measurement, but I emptied the stock radiator with the car level, it came to 185 oz, or 1.45 gallons. Then I installed this radiator and it took 280 oz to fill, or 2.18 gallons. I also went with 2 smaller fans vs the one large one I had for no other reason but to make sure I had enough clearance.

Anyway, last time out car went a 9.536 @ 141.67----hoping for some 9.3Xs next time out later this month.

make a fan shroud, otherwise those fans wont be doing much to be honest. you will get completly uneven cooling through the radiator without one
