There's definitely some personal preference here but I'd start first session 26# cold and run 32# hot as a starting point.

I like those numbers, although I've only run 315 Hoosier A6s (and Kumho V710 in the same sizes)

What's on the front?????? I ran 28 in my 315's Hoosier's. A6 and R6 construction is exactly the same, compounds differ which will not effect pressure. Since it's a track you will tend to build more heat, so I'd say the 26 is a better starting point for what you are doing, but it will matter how big the wheel is, what's on the front, how the car is balanced, etc.

Wow. Didn't realize the R6 was that different from the Conti Grand Am scrubs...

I start at 31psi cold, and like the feel at around 38psi hot. Less than that and the outside of the tires are getting too hot and wearing quickly.

I was surprised by the responses...I run 30-32 cold 38-40 hot on Hoosier R6 295/35/18 all around for Road Racing. I didn't expect to see answers that indicated that I may be over pressure by 6-8 lbs!!

What is confusing is that I have seen the Z06 forums indicating similar pressures as you guys are using. Yet Hoosier used to recommend HIGHER than my pressures...the latest from their site is 23-29 cold/34-39+ hot. http://www.hoosiertire.com/pdfs/tctR6_A6.pdf

The key question for us lowly amateur corner-carvers becomes...how best to tune at the track based on what you can change? Lets assume single adjustables, maybe adjustable front sway at a minimum and tire pressures.

That's always my challenge...What is the car doing in the different phases of a corner in each direction and what do I adjust to make it 'better' for my style of driving?

lol i'm sorry Jayel. Well it was cloudy and it misted a few times but the line was fine. No impact on traction. On the front was BFG 285 / 18 R1's. I know people thought this was a bad idea but it worked just fine. Shaved .2 off of my best. I started the R1's at 31 cold and the R6's at 28 cold and they were good.
