Question about PCV hose fitment

Hi All, So I installed a Roush cai today however instead of cutting the tops off of my factory PCV hose, I decided to just use a longer PCV hose than provided and didn't put the heads from the factory PCV hose onto the hose I used. I was wondering if someone could let me know if what I did is okay or not. I posted some pictures below. I didn't get a CEL and car pulls really hard with the intake and tune.

I understand I should probably take some scissors and shorten the length of the tube.

Looks fine to me. Just make sure you fasten it at both ends.

Thats what I did when I installed my airaid cai. Its been like that for like 3 years now. It doesnt look clean like the factory setup but it works and doesnt really look bad.

Nothing wrong with it; looks like you used appropriate hose and clamps at both ends.
