13.0@109mph.
2012 GT with a Airaid Cai and Tune.

That is freak fast for 4500ft. I was really impressed. I was expecting 13.4@105mph.

Now to get it into the 12s.

Considering there were 2 cammed 5th gen camaros and a heads cam one running 13.3s I say it ran good. Ran 3 13.0s and 2 13.1s. Never messed with anything. Next time I'll try tire pressure and not running it with all the wife's junk in the trunk.

Exactly. I was impressed with what it did. Best 60' was a 2.16 so if I could just get it to hook a bit better. Just has the stock 18" pirelli all seasons at 30psi. Next time I'll pull her stuff out and see if it can go 12.8s.

It was fun beating up on all the cammed camaros running 13.4s.

Best way to get 2 tenths? I was thinking of some control arms.

Get the 60' down a little bit. Every tenth off the 60' is like 2 tenths in the quarter so that alone would do it for you.

I know that, but what is the best way to get the 60' down on the mustang. I really don't want to mess with wheels/tires for now. So control arms for sure but anything else?

Lower the tire pressures down to about 25psi. Did you get a lot of wheelhop? How are you launching? Are you holding the brake and revving it up some or are you just punching it?

Just flooring it when light went green. Didn't touch the brake. TC on. Not really any wheel hop that I could feel but I think the TC was taking care of that. I tried to powerbrake it once and it just spun and went 13.2. It was consistent 13.0s just flooring it.

I would recommend upper and lower control arms with lower relo mounts to change the instant center. You want the car to force down on the tires more which the relo brackets will do. Outside of that, the stock tires are the limiting factor. A nice set of MT drag radials will get you where you want to go. :)

Thanks. I'll look into those parts. Trying to see how fast I can make it while still looking stock under the hood besides he cai. Thinking for the year:
Aluminum DS
Converter
UCA/LCA
Tires
Should go bottom 12s easy enough with those parts.

Make sure you get an adjustable upper control arm to go with the mount if you do the driveshaft so you can set the pinion angle. :)

Converter will do wonders.

At the same time one of the needs is to keep the wife happy since it is her car. She said no loud car and no rough ride. I'll have to be conservative on the converter since it is her car and I don't want her freaking out with a big stall.

I got my vette for going really fast, the mustang is just something to play with on the side.

Heat the tires up. The Pirellis like the heat.

Yes, I know, everyone says don't do that with street tires. But here's the thing... uncle phil, Omcar, and I do/did it and we could dead hook our cars. Leaving at 1800RPM or so. Power braking to the point of where it was ready to start spinning the tires on the starting line.

Dead. Hook. Every. Launch.

My best on the stock Pirellis was 1.87, with 30lbs of air in the tires. Traction Control off. Stock suspension.

My best with the same set-up and drag radials was 1.82.

Next question is what wheels/tires to get? I'm thinking some 15x10" weld RTS or racestars but no idea on tire size.
