Well, I decided to to strip and re spray the tails. took me 1 straight day.

They do look dark, but when I turn the lights on, they are very visible, and when I hit the brakes, they are bright.

Here are the pics

What tint did you use? I usedVHT night shades and the came out great but there is an orange peel texture. Did you you need to wet sand to bring shine out?

They look slick as hell, but it looks like you sanded too close to the edges and have the red showing through. I had the same problem with mine the first time I did them. Then I did them again using a sanding block and being careful not to get the edges/corners too much and it worked out nicely. (only took seven times to get them perfect, then I sold them, lol)

Yeah, you need to wetsand them untill they are smooth. no little shiny dots. just dull-smooth look.

Yeah I had to. I had orange peel spots around the edges.. It looks great to me, I wont touch them. I dont wanna go through stripping the clear and paint and then go through all that process again lol

I just went out to a grocery store, and thought I would snap a pic with the parking lights on.

When you hit the brakes, they are brighter obviously.

Ya Hinesville did that to me one night. Made me drive home with hazards on. Both the cops that pulled me over within 5 mins of each other were at least 50 years old wearing glasses and couldnt see. As long as you can see taillights at 500 feet its legal. Which I have tested and you can see mine. Even bought brighter led bulbs.

Taillights look good btw.
