actually going with the race brakes will allow you to run any style race wheels. i'm planning on losing the stock brakes this winter as well. i'm going with wilwood or aerospace front and rear (dual caliper rears) but will use the medium duty with an aluminum hat with a vented rotor(only due to the weight of the car). i do want to keep mine kind of driveable...at least i don't want to replace rotors after 100miles....again some people's idea of streetable is different than others.... like i feel 12.5:1 comp and solid roller cams fun street driving

seriously though you could sell your s197 specific bogarts and use and normal style wheel since you don't need the spacers made into the wheels to clear the stock calipers. the aftermarket brakes do have "thicker" caliper but the rotor is back set onto the housing further plus the rotors are much smaller so there's no clearance issues with 15" wheels.
i personally prefer wilwoods but have used aerospace on other drag cars and like them as well.
