Rear Spring Isolators and Sportlines

I installed a set of Eibach Sportlines on my 2010 Gt about a month ago and I love how the front dropped but not so much the rear. It could use another half inch. Do any of you have any experience in removing the Isolators? Top or bottom or both? Squeaking, noises, creaks etc. did it give you a little more drop?

Don't have any first hand experience but it seems kinda stupid to even think about doing it that way.

The isolators are there to keep metal on metal contact from happening between the spring and frame or axle. Without them, you will get an increase in NVH and eventual damage to the spring pocket and/or spring due to the contact.

Old school method, cut 1/4 of a coil off of the spring at a time and check ride height to see if it's what you like. Only cut from the end of the coil that does NOT have a taper. More work with this method since the spring is in and out of the car to check the height.

I cut about half a coil off of some GT500 springs to get my ride height correct. I did it just as it was said above.

Just a thought, but if you plan on replacing rear tires, ever thought about getting a rear tire with more sidewall? I did this and I get comments from lots of folks on how the car sits just perfect.

I'm going to knock off 1/2 a coil and see how it goes. Tires are brand new so replacing the rears are not an option right now. SN95 guys remove Isolators and cut coils all the time.

They also have an entirely different suspension than s197's do.
