Im looking into spring mods. I want 4.10's, but I have been looking at new rear tires as well. I currently have Toyo Proxies T1R 295/35/18. I got all my stuff used and would prefer a taller sidewall to fill out more fender gap (as I cant lower it). Im looking at the Nitto NT555R 305/45/18. What are your thoughts? I drive the mustang weekends/some dd in spring/summer/fall. I try to stay out of the rain, but sometimes its inevitable. What are your thoughts? I want something that hooks good on the street, but arn't overly impractical. Also do you think it would look like too much rubber out back? I have 17x9 up front with 255/45

I also have 2 Hoosier A'6 305/30/18 that I may want to sell along with the Toyos if I decide to get the Nittos. The Toyos cost $560 new for 2, and the Hoosiers cost $650 new for 2...($1,210 total) If I asked $500 for all 4, would that be fair?

no issue with the 305/45/18s, as long as there is a decent amount of tread, IMO, you'll be ok in the rain.

as long as the wheels are the same I think it'll be fine. Some cars come staggered from the factory with a 1" f/r diameter difference.

I would be concerned with your current wheel backspacing.

Compare your current 295 overall tire width with the new 305 width and check this difference with the fender clearance you now have.

More than likely you will be fine, but it doesn’t hurt to check.
