I dont mind putting a deposit down on one so long as I get it back if I decide not to get it...

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the point of a deposit that you are fronting the money because you are committed to the sale? Otherwise what would be the point..

I understand your line of thinking there but at the same time I cant afford to throw $1000 away if its not what I want.

Lol then why not just wait to see the car then? No disrespect intended but if you're not 100% sure you even want the car it's probably not worth all the hassle of leaving deposits, having someone special order a car, and all that stuff. When they come out Dealers will have them available for test drives, from there you can decide if you want the car and maybe even buy one on the grounds.

None taken. Im not missing the point intended but I know that dealers arent going to order them like I want one anyway around here. They always order them loaded out and it makes no sense. Not everyone wants a $40k mustang. Some want the things they want and thats it. Thats my only argument

The order bank was suppose to open today but no further info out yet. An official order guide has still not been released.

I can't imagine that we won't at least know power numbers by the 20th. Who's going to order without knowing?

Haha but you ARE missing the point. You need to think about it in the dealer's perspective. Why would they custom order you a car to YOUR specs with the potential risk of you not buying it. Then they have to find a buyer that wants it the EXACT way YOU set it up.

Not trying to be a ass, just trying to clarify the point of a deposit.
