ok ill start from the begining....2 months ago me and another memeber CMK720 both got the roush short throw shifters on our cars. everything was all gravy intill the shifters warmed up. shifting was very sloppy and neutral had no spring in it (i can push it all the way to the right or left and it will stay there). also shifting into second and third are a pain it doesnt let you in sometimes. So we go through this huge process with roush and roush taking their sweet ass time finally sends us new shifters and we both have them installed yesterday...all good right? not quite..im driving around today putting some miles on the shifter and after 15 minutes of driving the shifter does the same shit the last one did. I just did my research on this and have seen many forums and posts from people who've had the same problem and state that roush know of this problem and have had a huge recall. apparently the bushing gets warped under heat? i dont know but this is the second shifter and its been 2 months of hell. If anyone knows the cure to this problem it would be great. Chris at BBR is contacting roush again but like roush their very slow and horrible in communication between their venders. Very close to getting my money back and going with the MGW or just back to stock where i had no problems.:handjob:

I have the same problem and received the same responses from Roush. Have about 2000kms on the shifter now and it feels a bit better. It still sticks when hot but it seems to take longer to fail than it did new (was after 15 mins driving).

Also the rubber part around the shifter arm and top of the boot cracked in two after about three few days. It was obviously too small - dealer replaced it last week. We'll see what happens with this one.

Overall I like the shifter but the break-in period is a joke. Mine is a daily driver so it should be 'fixed' soon but that doesn't help anyone with a weekend car. I was considering the Roush suspension package but now I'm reluctant.

I went with a Hurst too, and love it. Well, except for the extra tranny noise that I can't seem to get rid of. I guess ya' can't have everything..

I just switched from my 5 year old B&M shifter to the new MGW and I love it. I finally tried it out at the track last night and it works real well and it's quieter than the B&M one was.

I've got the Hurst unit too and I love it. I never miss a third gear shift. The centering spring in it is awesome

I told ya we should have got MGW...worked good on my cobra.

On a side note Roush is a joke, I emailed them and no response and they take forever to even contact BBR. I'm threw with their shit. I'm gonna ask for a refund or something.
