Why do the aftermarket twin discs all have this rattle issue? The stock GT500 twin disc does not have a rattle, so you'd figure the aftermarket companies could make one that's the same.

I believe that is it also. There is only a little room for the twin disc in a 4.6 with a 3650 and maintain the stock flywheel/slave geometries. The T-6060/5.4 combo must have more room for the twin disc and sprung hub clutch discs.

I suspect it has somthing to do with the fact the Mcleod pressure plates dont have springs...just a guess though

I really never hear it and when I do it is so slight that it is really a non-issue.

So far, 460 miles and completely satisfied. Just awesome!

The slave is shorter on the GT500's TR6060

I've had two RSTs and now have an RXT. They all chattered the same way at the same rpm. And when you tie the car up with solid motor mounts and subframes and start removing sound deadening, its gets worse and worse. Hats off to the people that don't mind. I guess I drive like a granny because I hear it all the time and it makes me grit my teeth.

Keep it above 1500 rpm man!!! That's all, no "rattle". I never hear it. unless I want to do it, I never hear it. I have poly mounts, solid would transmit more noise though.
