Rural PA cruise

I had a few days off from work and decided to go for a drive on some of my favorite roads along with trying a new one. I started in the Lehigh Valley and ended up in some small town in rural NY state with a post office that was smaller than a 1 car garage.

Down off the mountain into some farm land

On nice days when I have nothing planned (fairly infrequent these days), I like to drive up Route 611. I've made it to about the Delaware Water Gap before turning back. I like that road...

During the drive I wenr form about 400' abve sea level to 2500' above sea level. In some places I changed elevation by 700' in a couple miles.

611 and 32 are fun roads, but I usually end up getting stuck behind some grandmother doing 20 under the speed limit or a large truck taking its time and crawling along.

I'm out in the Pocono's for ski season, everytime I wish I was driving the Mustang! (of course on clear roads)

The roads should be clear now. Even at 2500' ASL all of the snow was melted.

Thanks! Its one of my favorite views on that road. You come around a bend while coming down the mountain and it opens up into farmland. I drowve through there then turned around to go back and take that picture. I was lucky enough to get that shot on the first try.
