Well, I've learned a lot in ~2 years. I should be able to offer the trunk opening covers for about $50 USD. I'll find out tomorrow.

Prototype will be done by next week... should stiffen up the front valence nicely and clears my gt500 heat exchanger. I had my stock front spoiler upside down. I don't know what people usually do, maybe the gt500 part differs, never bothered to look.

Front spoiler:

Just my car's era, 2005-2009 - as far as I know. It's a bullitt so the bumper cover is the same as a GT. I'm reasonably sure the spoiler is the same, but the cutout in the lower valance may differ.

I will post some photos next week of the part installed. I may need to do some cosmetic tweaks - I kind of think it will disappear under the car and you won't see it unless you're laying on your belly. As mentioned will help with flex, feel for curbs, and have a minor aero effect.

The trunk spare opening cover should fit any S197. It replaces the cardboard piece that ford uses - I had it designed ages ago but it would have cost me a fortune to get it produced... now I've figured out how to get it through production, erase some steps, etc... and can offer it for like half of what I wanted or less.

Will that trunk cover work with the Shaker 1000 subwoofer?

Should - I think the woofer is way off to the right side. I'm sure Ford had the same part for all cars. This is just a copy.

If we find shipping is expensive and people want these I'm going to give out the CAD to nearby shops who can router or laser aluminum sheet.

Prototype development... I really like the rear panel, going to chevron the braces to add a bit of stiffness fore-aft. It's OK for me!

Front spoiler, going to widen and angle the stainless portion to suit the bumper cutout a bit better, will be adding another bend for 5 total. It looks pretty cool in person. Also, adding an additional fastener at the furthest outboard end - will require drilling the bumper cover. This part fought me, someone was helping me on the brake and cut the stainless part in half not watching which bend step he was on! I overbent the jog bend in the aluminum pretty badly, AND bend it upside down because I forgot the nutserts pointed up. That's why the hole for the coolant is on the wrongs side. Rushing on a Friday evening.. the shop was bothering me for production recuts.

Should have these finished and finalized by this weekend.

So forgive me if this is a dumb question but what is the front panel supposed to do? I.e. what's the benefit?

It is a repro of the stock plastic part except without the portion that extends upwards right into where my 2013 GT500 heat exchanger lives. The stainless air dam will keep some air from going under the car, instead going around, and/or building pressure in front of the bumper to go through the exchangers. Finally, the stainless portion is material at a right angle to the plastic bumper part and to the aluminum panel, adding a great degree of stiffness.

Just curious -
On the trunk panel, wouldn't it have been more beneficial to bead roll several areas to add strength as opposed to the angles bolted onto the panel?

Finally got my finished/changed front "spoiler/splitter" piece made and put it on while I am working on my exhaust. The new fastener location I added is visible at the edge - my horizontal aluminum is about 3-4" wider than the stock piece to pick it up. Looks great. Will look even better with the car on the ground.
