got this in a newsletter from SCT,

SCT Gains 28.5RWHP & 34FT-LBS RWTQ on our 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L with just a tune! SCT recently took delivery of our 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0L. Of course, our first order of business was to start tuning to see what our pony car had in it. To get a baseline to work from, our staff strapped down our Kona Blue 5.0L Automatic and began making dyno pulls. The dyno graph showed 360.71 horsepower at the rear wheels and 326.23 ft-lbs of torque in stock form. We knew immediately Ford got the new 5.0L right and this pony has some serious kick. SCT's calibrators immediately went to work and had a tune ready to load into our Mustang. Not only did our performance tune add an impressive 28.5RWHP & 34ft-lbs RWTQ through the RPM curve, it raised & firmed up the slushy automatic transmission shift points. We know premium fuel isn't cheap these days, so after a brief test drive, our Mustang was filled with 87 octane fuel and strapped back on the dyno for some low octane tune development. The end result, an additional 12RWHP & 24ft-lbs RWTQ on 87 octane fuel! Stay tuned for More Power from our Mustang 5.0L! Check out the video & the dyno sheet on our website, on our Facebook page (Facebook/scttuning) or on StangTV!

I can't wait until I can get one! With an intake tune it makes almost 100 rwhp more than my intake tune 3v!

Very nice gain, gains like this were made on the 05-09's but not the 10 stang, good to see the 11' has some power left on the table.

oh yea and the famous "ford maxed this engine out from the factory" bwahahaaa

There's talk of this by some right now over on mustang forums in addition to thing about this engine not being able to take any boost. I give up on trying to explain why this thing is not even close to maxed out and the boost thing. :asshat: I just post facepalm pics and leave it at that.

Too many have the ricer way of thought that if you can't run X psi of boost then it sucks and is weak.
