Montreal Qc,
I just received new tunes for my car from JDM.
I was told that I must do a couple of updates on the X-CAL II first.

I was wondering if there was a way to backup my tunes onto my laptop before or during the update process?

I just updated my xcal2 a couple weeks ago and it didn't affect the tunes already in my tuner (if we're talking about the same update). I'm sure your tuner could email you your tunes if something were to happen.

you see though...he was told to...

Peter, yes but they will be a different file extension than what you may expect to see. I got this long ago from their (SCT) forum. Go there and pull off a dreaded "seach" LOL

Peter...in case you didn't already know, the new tune JDM sent you isnow in a .cef extension vs .ll3. If you haven't already, you need to download the new version of LiveLoad from SCT so you can upload the .cef file to your xcal.

I just spoke to Jim III this morning when I was placing an order for my revised tune for the Comp Cams. He confirmed the latest version of Live Load 3 is all that is needed for the new .cef tuning files.
