Hello, still not completely educated with these forums so apologies if this has been posted or in the wrong place and so on. I tried to add a bit of backstory to make this make a little more sense the actual question is in the last 2 paragraphs.

I have a 2007 v6 that I bought when I turned 16, so for sentimental reasons I want to keep it as long as possible, a few months ago the motor jumped timing. Instead of fixing it I decided to just put in a 4.6 to give it an actual worth while motor. On copart I found and purchased a great specimen 2007 California special to do so, especially because I wanted those black/grey seats as well. I’ve been slowly swapping the drivetrain over and while waiting for a tool I needed I decided I would go ahead and swap the seats.

Now my v6 is a base, so it had the manual passenger seat. This Cali has leather heated automatic seats for both. I have the seats swapped over and the motor functions for the drives side work, however as sadly expected the passenger side does not at all. I was hopeful as I believed the car is already wired for heated seats as the fuses matched and such but I haven’t got to the point to find out completely and am doubtful now that the pass side doesn’t work.

Anyway, my main question is what is the best way to make said pass seat work, for motor functions at least. Is there a place I can unplug a connector and just put that part of the wiring in my v6 car or will splicing be needed?

Thanks for the help!

You'd have to pull out the seat wiring harness from the donor car and see where the other end connects. Then check to see if that connection point is available on your target vehicle, or if some other wiring can be swapped over.

If push comes to shove, it should be possible just to run appropriate 12v power to the passenger seat,

There should be a pigtail in the wiring harness that runs along the floor by the door sill. Should just plug in. However, there's a seat motor relay or fuse (sorry, not near my stuff) in the engine compartment fuse box that you may not have for the passenger side...but I'd be willing to suspect that the fuse box is ready for it. I don't know if the airbag occupant bladder sensor and harness is the same but you'll either be able to plug that in or you'll have to swap the one out of the old seat into the new...it's a pain in the butt but you can do it without dismantling the seat.
