I know there is a good review from vorshalg and even stang tv. But they could be biased :chainsaw: based on the fact one sells the kit and one probably got sponsored to have it featured.

Not saying that they are bogus reviews but none of them mention cons.

I want to believes the whole shorten strut/shock body for more bump travel for lowering springs makes complete sense and that a valve matched system from both Eibach and Bilstein both world renown names sure know what they are doing.

There are online retailers that sell the BTS/B12 with Eibach prokit springs for about $900 and it's pretty close to some adjustable coilover systems.

Do I really want adjustments? Not really, even if I got an adjustable system I would adjust it till I found my sweet spot and never touch it again.

My current setup is Vogtland GT500 lowering springs (1.2" drop f&r) with GT500 struts/shocks and with 20" wheels the ride is pretty harsh and crashy. Especially on uneven roads where it unbalances it the car left to right it's down right crappy as hell my internals hurt. I cringe over bumps.

So anyone have this bilstein kit?

NDSP on here has the Bilsteins, maybe look him up.

It's a nonadjustable monotube damper from a great company...if you need a quality shock for a street car and you don't want/need adjustability, I can't think of a con or a better choice. If you want to do lots of track days and autox, the nonadjustability is probably a con, the non-coilover front is a con, etc. It all depends on your specific application as to whether there are cons or not.

I have bilstein with k springs. I'd call my ride quality firm, definitely not crashy. I'd suggest you try cutting your bump stops down before you buy another spring/strut combo. Before I put the bilstein in I had stock struts/shocks and k springs with stock height bump stops, and that was horribly crashy. I like these bilstein allot, I wish the supposedly coming coil over kit from bilstein would get here, so I can have more spring Rate options.

I'm not sure the difference between the bts and hd, I have the hd. Either way they are going to be much better than the gt500 shocks and struts. Just make sure it has the shorter housing.

What you say makes sense but keep in mind that having the luxury of actually finding that sweet spot by way of adjustability is an important factor and without it you may be stuck with a ride that is still not what you hoped it would be.

I too looked at the Bilsteins early on and searched until I found the end of the Internet for decent reviews of that setup but only found the same ones you did. I was grateful for those reviews but they still left allot of unanswered questions on how they really performed so I decided to not take the gamble on them.

With all that said I would take a closer look into the Ground Control/Koni setup if my goals were similar to yours
