Hey everyone, hope yall are doing well. So I've been wanting to change my suspension because well mine is completely worn. I have a 2007 v6 Mustang. It's my daily driver right and I just want something to give a quality ride. I do live in California so I do have to deal with the horrible roads. So far I have down to replace shocks, struts, coils, Panhard bar, bump stops, replace the rubber sway bar bushings with poly Polyurethane bushings, and I was going to replace my front lower control arms. It'd be preferable if I could keep everything on the low side. At least sub 2k but preferably sub 1.5k. I'll list the brands I was looking at for each component. Any input would be gratefully appreciated.

Shocks/struts: Koni Sport

Panhard bar: BMR Adjustable Panhard bar

Coils: Pedders SportsRyder Lowering Springs (Really cause its only a 1" drop)

Bump stops: Ford Performance Bumpstop/Jounce Bumper Kit

Polyurethane bushings: Prothane Urethane 20mm Rear Sway Bar Bushing

Lower control arms: Ford Performance GT500 Front Lower Control Arm Kit

Thank yall for your time and help I truly appreciate it.

Your choices look good. However, why the Pedders springs? There are better choices with similar drop.

If you are going to do all that, make sure to get the new strut mounts too.

I’ve used Eibach springs on a bunch of things, always been a good choice in my experience.

Well frankly the only reason was cause they had the smallest drop and were relatively inexpensive. I've heard good things about the eibach springs but also that they were quite stiff too.

Awesome thank you I'll definitely look into the strut mounts and I might go with those Eibach springs

Price sadl is generaally too much of a contributimg factor. Do the job once not twice. Steeda, Eibach, BMR etc

FYI Pedder's is a quality company. My Brother has their suspension parts on his 2004 GTO. Zero issues and fitment is perfect.

My thoughts on this if your not going to track the car is to stick with stock springs and spend the money on bushings and good strut/shocks like Bilstein. You can get stiffer sway bars and tighten everything up with new poly bushings. This will increase a bit of performance without sacrificing ride height and comfort. The new lower control arms are good too.

So basically you suggest to keep stock springs and to not lower my car if I want something comfortable?

07 Boss has a good point… I put convertible GT500 springs in my 06’ GT convertible because I did not want to lower it. I then put on Tokico struts & shocks, big sway bars and BMR control arms, adjustable panhard, Steeda jacking rails, etc. car road smooth and handled very well.

It all depends what you want to do with your car and how much your budget is…

So I'm currently between the pedders that are $224.96 for the set with a 1" drop
and the Eibachs that are $350 with a 1.6" drop in the front and a 2" drop in the rear
1.6" front drop....and a 2.0" rear drop is way too much drop. 1/2" to 1" front and 1.00" to 1.25" rear is max u want to go for drop. Any of these lowering springs are typ 20% stiffer than oem. They have to be, or they will bottom out.

Ideally what you want for a street car is FIRM.....but not STIFF. Typ mating aftermarket shocks / struts are also stiffer.

I have the entire Roush suspension package on my 2010 GT. 1" front drop....and 1.25" rear drop. Roush achieves the 1" front drop by using 20% stiffer springs on the front....that are 1/2" shorter than oem. They obtain the remaining 1/2" drop via their 1/2" shorter than oem front struts. Problem is....the front is TOO STIFF. Great on dead flat smooth roads and hwys. Get to a speed bump in local parking lot, and u slow down to .1 mph, stop, gently go over the bump...then move forward a few feet, then gently lift the rear over the bump. Hit the same speed bump at 10 mph, and ur gonna jar ur teeth...and coffee ends up on the ceiling. . I could push down as hard as I can with both hands, while parked, and it does not budge. Didn't budge with me sitting on the wheel well..... with my 150 lbs. Finally after just a few years, driver's side front strut snapped like a toothpick. Replaced both roush front struts with oem struts. Now it has a tiny bit of give to it..... plus now only 1/2" lower on the front.

Careful what u wish for with springs + shocks / struts. Stiffer front + rear sway bars will improve cornering, without having to resort to stiffer springs. To really do it right, you need some negative camber on the front. 90% of my driving lately is in town....and plenty of shit roads due to construction and also poor maintenance.

05' GT with Ford "P" Springs (est. 1" drop) and 06' GT Convt with GT500 Springs. Both cars have perf struts/shocks, sway bars, braces, etc.

Again, what do you want to do with your car is very important when setting up a suspension.

I have stock springs combined with Tokico D-Spec. If I turn the shocks to full hard the car is undriveable hard and jumps around through every pothole. If I change it to full soft the car rolls like a boat, so I found some compromise on the softer side.
I think comfort is 75% dampening and 25% spring. That doesn't mean you cannot choose a very stiff spring and ruin everything with it alone ;)
But, I would not recommend the Tokico because it changes rebound and compression together and for my taste the high-speed compression is too harsh.
