Shakenmach I, my son

The other day AJ (Shakenmach I) rear ended a SUV and lost. He's okay and not hurt at all.
So I took the car to have them look at and give me a cost of the repairs. He did a lot more damage to the car than what I expected. The insurance guy told me the car is currently at 50% out of 80% being total. Keep in mind that they might find more thins to fix when they start working on it. Then he'll be without a car, since it's in my name and not his.

Oh yeah, life sucks!

The hood is cracked in the front, middle and rear. It was push back to the wiper arm.

Can't lock the hood down either. We have to tie it down.

UPDATE: Car has been repaired

We got the car back from being repaired and it looks great now. My son my not put the black strips on the hood.

This bumper is also the one that I sell and for an aftermarket bumper if fits great. I also ordered it with the smoke fog lights. This kit sales for $240 shipped (lower 48).
We also had to replace the headlights and I got him the black inside with the clear reflector (I sale them too). Then I added the H11 8K HIDs, I sale them too.

nice job on the new parts! if things have to be replaced upgrading makes it less painful. and I'm glad they didn't total it out. insurance adjusters are real dumb sometimes. my godfather owns a body shop that I work at sometimes, so I see a lot of it.

I think i'd put the black back on if it were me. looks better with the shaker IMHO.
