What is the cheapest way? i would assume freight, but i am sure some have done it here.

If you are close to a terminal, freight is probably the best. I just shipped a set of tires to LI NY through, of all places, the USPS. I sent them parcel post and used their freight calculator online to figure it out first before taking them in to mail.

$32 each, they weighed 28#'s each, Pirelli 275/35/20's, shipped two tires. On the USPS website is a calculator for shipping tires and such, all i did was plug in the numbers. Funny thing was when the wife hauled one of them to a UPS shipping place they magically gained 2#'s each and were quoted $56 each for shipping.
