Shocks Struts advice.

I had my car lowered with Vogtland springs, and wanted to go ahead and upgrade the shocks/struts as cheaply as possible.
Lots of brands out there, and not sure if I need adjustable or non-adjustable to do the job.
Also do you need any new kind of bracket?

Street Car - Its my DD. I don't want to get to crazy in suspension, trying to save up for a SC, so looking for basic stuff to compliment the lowering springs I already installed.

Gonna cost more than the shocks/struts themselves, best bet is to DIY and knock it out in 3-4hrs in your garage.

Just read the DIY guide for install on the forums here... holy crap thats extensive and they used some special compression device. Can it be done in your average suburban garage? In the guide they were shaving metal...

I've done it twice in my garage with hand tools. No shaving of metal required, need spring compressors (just jack type screw with arms that hold onto the spring) which you can rent from autozone or where ever. It seems like a lot, but it isn't. For the rears you can support the car by the axle and leave the springs loaded, takes 30 mins to swap out the shocks. The struts obviously take longer but the hardest part is torquing down the strut bolts, if I remember correctly i'ts 148 ftlbs.

I have more cash to blow, any other suspension parts that could be put on as the same time as the shocks/struts? UCA? LCA? Panhard bar?

I guess I am looking for time saving stuff, that should probably be done at the same time.

LCAs and Panhard bar are very easy to install yourself, the UCA would be a good one to let a shop do if you're going that route.
