Tried this last night. 1 run with stock belt was 13.35

came back to pits, installed short belt, let car cool down then ran a 13.26. So for me it was about a tenth difference. Not worth it to me.

i have tried before and i tought it worked, but last night i came to the conclusion that it doesnt work.

since i put the taller tire i consistently run 7.6 @ 88.7mph and 1.6 60foot and its like i copy the slips they all look the same. then i put the belt back on last night and went twice at it, and did the same thing same conditions same night and the car was always running at the same temperature.

Really? Why? It sounds like a pretty cheap tenth to me.

Not that it's hard to change or anything but to me a tenth isn't worth removing the old belt then putting the new belt on and then try and drive around the pits with no PS. I bracket race so a tenth doesn't matter. I did it more out of curiosity's sake.

HAWG-What makes you think I didnt?
I searched and read that thread. There were 3 people that posted track times.Does that mean only 3 people from this board done it?I don't think so.
Thats why I made this thread.

That thread is over a month old.So I figured more people has done it by now especially with a claim of a half second gain.So I wanted to see results on the same day track times.

Hell,I thought it was a good question, but what do I know?????
