Hello, I am referring to this thread here:

http://www.s197forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1951

For the better part of a week, my follow up posts to this thread seemed to disappear. Now I can see it, but I cannot advance to page 4, in either chrome or IE, no idea what is going on.

Anyway, figure I would start a new thread to see how this mod is holding up. I am wary of plastic inserted into metal and how well it hold up with time.

I would like to avoid opening up everything to drill a hole and thread it for a sensor. Its also possible I may want to add a meth injection kit in the future.

I've done that exact setup and it worked just fine. There are many different grades and kinds of plastic. A factory plastic part that's designed for a higher temp area is going to be heat resistant. I think it sees much higher temps on the Lightning than it does with a s197 whipple.
