just finished the thread, had been following it on motoiq, seeing it in forum mode makes it a bit easier to follow. great build!
Well, this is just great. The Mustang breaks right before I have to leave for Hyper Fest. Anyone have any insight into this weirdness:

Sorry to hear that, hopefully your dealership can figure it out before the weekend
Heck, they work with a local tuner shop (Booze Brothers Racing) and sell tuned Mustangs off the showroom floor with factory warranties intact.
You can run with TiVCT problems, you will just feel like you are down 100 hp and missing a ton of low-end torque.
I had issues with the solenoids on mine, the connectors don't like high RPM vibration, they turn into tuning forks and break down the contacts. Replace the solenoids and pigtails with the 2013 versions and your problems will be gone (if that is your problem). I got P0020 when mine happened, IIRC.
I erred on the side of caution and didn't drive the ~350 miles down to VIR. (The Coyote is an interference motor, after all.)

Edit: Sounds like your dealer already reached this conclusion, from your other thread.
