Swapped out the K springs for BMR's last night. It's actually a quarter inch in the front and half inch in the rear lower than with the K springs. Rides so smooth now.

Looks good how is the handling? Does it hook any better with the softer springs?

Seems to hook up a little better but cornering has gone away slightly. I'll consider it an even trade off for a more comfortable ride.

Are you sure? cause your car is the lowest ever on BMR springs!!!!

Yeah I was surprised myself. Front measured fender to ground 27 1/4 and rear 27 3/4 with k's. On BMR's front 27 and rear 27 1/3. Here's some before and after.

Which BMR springs? Cause I may just have to make the switch!

Part # SP009. I bought them used so that might have something to do with it. Almost every website lists a different drop for them so it's hard to really tell which is why I measured.

Totally! I've never had a lowered car that rode so smooth. I wish I would've got them a year ago lol.

Were they possibly cut a 1/2 coil or something?

First I've heard of them being lower than K's as well, but I've always heard how nice they ride.

Nope no coils cut. They came off a vert so that may have something to do with it considering they're heavier. I was really hoping to gain a quarter inch up front for clearance but oh well they ride awesome. This is my 3rd set of springs on the car. Ks were to rough and the Roush extremes were bouncy. These are just perfect. I have koni str.ts with them as well.

the stance has me boggled!!!! it has the look of the 05-10 sportlines! the bmr's I have been looking at are all rated at 1-1 1/4 to 1.5" max and you have a 2"drop .... are you sure they are not the older sportlines that somebody just said they are BMR's... Not saying you aren't sure but it's just fishy that you got that low of a drop with those springs!!!

Lol I'm positive. I'll try and get a pic of the BMR logo stamped on the springs later. I'll pm Kelly from BMR and see if there might have been a different run of these at one point.

We have had three designs for the SP009. This last version was nothing other than a small spring rate change, and we have seen no change in ride heights. So really, we have only had two versions with different drop rates.

The earlier versions (1.5 / 1.75) were slightly lower than the current version. They were slightly softer and were rated at roughly 1.5F / 1.75R for 2005-2009 GT's.

The newest version will put the car right at about 1"F / 1.25" R drop.

Unfortunately, the "drop" is not consistent car to car.....due to so many variations.

Typically, with stock sized tires (base GT)....our springs will sit a 2011+GT at roughly:

27.5" F
28.25" R

The last 2005-2009 we tested recently was a 2006 Roush Stg1, and it sat:

27" F
27.75" R

Ah ha! I knew I wasn't crazy..

Looks like I have the earlier version because that's right about the drop I've got. I guess the guy I bought them from had them longer than he claimed to.

Thanks for clearing that up Kelly!
