That control arm looks very weak. Like thin sheet metal. I'm guessing it broke first and the rearend rotated and put the DS at extreme angles to the point the u-joints bound up and it ripped in half.

Holly crap i bet that sucked to be in the driver seat.

Hopefully the car didn't get destroyed and you're OK.
Is that a CHE control arm? I thought these driveshafts were rated to 900HP lol.

I guess horsepower rating doesn't matter if the control arm breaks and ends up twisting the driveshaft.

Well if you go look up pictures of a DSS shaft for an 05-09 They do not have U joints on both sides, they have a U joint along with a CV joint. Shaftmasters on the other hand uses ujoints on both sides...

Well, you're right. My Dynotech also had U joints at both ends. That's definitely not a DSS shaft.

Shaftmasters or Dynatech on the DS. Unless DSS had some original old design like that but it doesn't look anything like the DSS I just bought.

I cant remember from all the shit I've bought and installed and traded and what not. may have been shaftmasters. going to gt a dss this week since theyre only an hour away unless someone wants to trade for a PI converter for their shaft as long as its built like dss' present unit
