I received this reply to my only post over there.........

One other thing and i'll stop picking on u, why do you have a sponser on your doors that says something about a twin turbo mustang ? Look at the picture of the motor again please, that is a stock a$$ motor with a cold air kit and 24lb injectors, lol. You can tell by the stock exhaust manifolds. Hope that you have another car that u are talking about running, if so please send pictures of it.

At the risk of repeating myself....I love this turbo kit.

I would post a picture of the turbos under the car and ask him if he sees anything......

BTW, I meant to ask you---with this kit can you go with a larger turbo(s)? What size is on there now? (54mm?) Can you go to twin 57's?

Any tests on what this kit can really do? 8 psi is like taking a 30-06 and hunting squirrel. When are you going after the big game?

Here is the link.........

He also gets into it with McCarthy then gets confused as to who actually owns the car. On page 2 he finally gets around to threatening to beat my ass. Took him long enough. McCarthy found my pictures on Photobucket and posted the under car picture of the turbos. I sent the guys post to Rick Head at Exile Turbo and he spit coffee all over his desk. Told me I owe him a new monitor.
:roflmao:

I asked Rick about upgrading the turbos and he stated that it really isn't necessary. These two will provide enough boost to make 900-1000 horsepower if you've got enough engine and fuel system. I spoke with Justin from Fore Precision at the PRI show and we're working on something to put their triple pump system on the car for the '09 season. Also, Dan Millen and I are working on a deal for me to run one of their 298" longblocks next year as a "test car". Engine isn't free but the price will be something we can both live with. Rear end upgrades will be done right after the first of the year and I will also be going to a set of Holeshot Wheels with 15" M/T tires. Debating on whether or not to just change the damn brakes over to Strange units and be done with it. Once these upgrades are done I'm going to make a few runs with the turbos at 8psi to do the "before/after" comparisons for Livernois on the stroker and heads.

Once that is out of the way.......I'm turning the boost up.

Since the car won't be 9 second legal I will reserve the higher boost ranges for shootouts and "showing off" passes. I plan to run the car right at the 10.00 mark next season in Ultra Stang and Super Stang. If this ORSCA class doesn't get out of hand (most are predicting 9.20's or quicker) I will upgrade the roll bar to a cage, get it certified so it is legal, and turn the boost up for that deal.

With the car running 10.88/128 on a stock engine, 3.31 gears, and 8 pounds of boost I really don't see a problem going 10.20-10.40 with just the stroker and 8-10 psi. Beyond that....I feel 9.50's should be within reach at 14-18 psi. The turbos will make 22-24 psi. The only limiting factor will be the 5R55S transmission.

As I mentioned later in that thread......I fuckin' terrified. I remember telling someone a few years ago that one of the worst things that could happen in any heads up class was for me to have enough money to compete.

C'mon Texas Lottery.

Ok, so you bring up some good points.

1) yes 900 rwhp will be enough, easily.
2) but the 5R55s will not survive at that level---so if you go with a different trans, like a C4 or 4R70W, will the turbos still fit (based on where they sit vs the trans)?

They will clear a 4R70W even with an SFI bellhousing. And I don't give two shits what Evolution is doing....I'm not putting a C4 behind something like this. That is NOT a street car. In my opinion (yeah, yeah...I know) a late model performance car came from the factory with an overdrive and it should have one in the car even at 900 hp. I have no aspirations on pushing the turbos that far though. At the most, 800 should be plenty and still maintain some semblence of streetability.

Hell...I figure 600 will be enough to keep the car at 10.00. If we need to push it any further I might start looking for a theft recovery car I can pick up for cheap and do a purpose built street/strip car. Something like that would get a Rossler 210 three speed and really push the turbos/engine.
