was talking to ford racing about the cobra jet stuff and he told me there were some fastners and stuff that were different, phone got disconnected, called back of course they were close,

so, i'm wondering what else is different??

Radiator support?

Shocks?

Springs?

There is a whole bunch different,
Upper control arm, Longer. Bolt Diameter has increased
Upper control arm mount, Mounting hole is lower, More squat then previous.
Driveshaft, Different length and bolt pattern
Radiator support, Close, but a few additional tabs for the added support brace.

There is more, but this is what comes to my mind right now...

The suspension is unchanged except for specific spring rates and shock valving, etc.

I would guess that the spring rates and shock valving would change, as the weight of the car has been moved around a bit, I would also guess that the sway bars are also different than before.

Never underestimate the amont of engineering ford puts into these vehicles.

The aftermarket springs will carry over from the 10... the spring rates are close enough where all the manufacturers are going to just deal with it and release them. Can almost guarantee it.

The upper control arm has to be adjustable, because as mentioned above, it IS in fact longer than the previous years. The bolt is also bigger, so you'd have to get the bolt and mount from a 2010 and make some modifications to get it to work. The mount is quite a bit thicker than previous years, which is a cool factory upgrade.

The front struts need an 1/8" spacer, otherwise they were moving in the mounts. So we machined a set up, since there is currently no support for that. The shocks and struts are identical other than that.

Lower control arms are the same. Panhard seems to be the same. Same old 8.8".
