Just sold my 2011 to my best friend. It has 54k miles. Bought it in July of 2010. No issues except a bent axle due to an ex-girlfriend who can't drive... It's been running a 93 tune from Bama with MRT exhaust, C&L intake. It's an auto and not a single issue. Loved that car, just didn't need two stangs right now and he wanted it.

I purchased my 2012 V6 auto in September of '11. I love the car. Drive it to work everyday... about 50 miles. I have avoided any mods...(that has been hard knowing a CAI and tune would add ~20-30 hp and about 1/2 second in the 1/4). I have about 15k on the odometer and only had it in to the dealer for the first oil change at 7500 miles. NO CODES as of yet.

With factory 3.31's. It went 14.1's at 101 mph 100% factory stock, including street tires... and in 88 degree air.

The only problem I have is 5.0 envy...in fact, I am planning to trade it in around the Sept timeframe for a factory ordered '13 5.0 (DI Blue automatic). The dealer is offering my $18,500 on a trade.

Trying to decide what to do with my '07...I don't need two v8 stangs...although I like having both of them.

I picked up my 2013 MCA convertible on June 26. Today I have 5,700 on it.

I'm testing some of Doug's tunes and comparing them to AM/Bama right now. His 93 race tune put the car a full second quicker than it was in "as delivered" ststus wiyh 400 miles on it. Haven't been able to compare the Bama yet because they just got it to me yhis week. Street 93 tunes are very similar though with Doug's a little quicker on the 0-60 according to the track app

Won't get to the track this weekend. I will be in Mustang Alley at Woodward Dream Cruise. If you check Classic Design Concepts (CDC) Facebook on Saturday you will see my car. I won the appearance makeover from them and it is done at Mustang Alley

3.73 a1... you gained 1/2 second w/ Drag Radials? wow... what was your 60 ft time on street vs. DR's?

On my street tires... I held 2000 rpm and floored it at the green light w/ practically NO tire spin and still got a 2.1 60 ft (traction control/advanced trac turned off)

2.0 flat on st tires which are nitto nt555 255/50/17 on 17x9 aired em down to 24psi small 2'nd gear burnout launching around 3k pretty much straight off the clutch and as soon as I feel them grab floor it.
On drag radials 16psi 10sec 2'nd gear burnout, launching at 5k+rpm same as above launch technique result was 1.90 60s my buddy has cut 1.80 on these in his 3.7.
But it was the first time on drag radials for me so I'm happy prob went so much faster because the drs are slightly smaller overall dia and even mounted on steel wheels they fell about 6-8#s lighter vs the st tire setup I run.

I have........ that is why I noted that it was a base car. Pushing and holding the trac button does nothing on base cars... just wondering if anyone has found a work around.

what did it run 100% stock... what did it run with the various tunes...auto or manual?

Automatic, and stock as delivered best I could get out of it was 15.1

After getting a tune it ran consistent 14.4. Have a couple of new tunes to try out for the track to get it into the 13's hopefully. But the stock 2.73 gearing doesn't help it get going. Once it gets going and up to 3,500 rpm it moves along pretty well.

I am able to get the Advanced Trac control to turn-off with the car stopped and my foot on the brake. I hold it for 4 seconds and it turns off.

Turning off Advance Trac isn't the problem on the 2013 automatic. Same process as you said.

But the program still limits you to no more than 2,000 rpm. You can push the accelerator to the floor and no change if you have your foot on the brake. So no burnout, not even enough to clean the tires before you stage.

It is an issue for both the GT and V6 automatic

As I said timfoster - it is a 2013 issue, not the 2012. Ford changed the transmission tune rather dramatically for 2013. There are essentially two factory tunes - regular "D" then "S" for sport mode, plus in sport mode we also have the ability to manually shift using a button to go up or down. It will actually hold a gear and downshift right away too. Nothing like trying to just go from 1-2-3-D.

So for your 2012 you don't have the limiter stepping in and not allowing you to brake torque.
