Sold the '97, got a Kona Blue '11

Went to the local Ford dealer to trade in my '97 GT vert on a used 2008 with 14k miles. For the heck of it, Laura (Croft) and I took out a 2011 5.0 to compare and WOW, there was no looking back. No options, just the base 6spd GT. Now we have a 2011, 2007 GT/CS and the 2005 in my sig:

The usual for a daily driver: tires, wheels, lower an inch, intake, cold air, tune, exhaust. JJ at Woodbine Motorsports has the Cervini cowl hood on his and I like that look. He's at 11.1 with those mods plus with 1 piece drive shaft and lower control arms, so I think I'll be good high 11s for sure. Christ, it took 3 years to get my NA 3v into the 11s, my guess is a matter of months with the 5.0...

Actually, I almost walked out with a GT500!!! Laura (Croft) was at my side and pretty much pointed out the GT500 would have ended up a garage queen, I'd be too paranoid to take it out as a DD. Funny, though, she was the one ending up driving it home...

Months hell, CobraMike ran 11.95 in his 6m on street tires with nothing but a tune and CAI. What are you going to do with the Red car now make it a track car?

The red 2005 will still be used for drag racing, cruise-ins and car shows. As I slowly update the '11, the 2005 will pretty much be my drag racing vehicle. I love 'em both. And Laura's 2007 GT/CS!
