The TR-6060 contains removable wear pads on the shift forks, and uses aluminum alloys for the main case, extension housing, and clutch housing. It is manufactured by Transmission Technologies Corporation and is rated for 600 ft·lbf (810 N·m) of torque.

The gear ratios on the 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500:
1st: 2.97
2nd: 1.78
3rd: 1.30
4th: 1.00
5th: 0.80
6th: 0.63

Just incase anyone was wondering

Thats what 28" slicks are for =)

28 inch tires on the new 6spd standard trans top speeds with 7000rpm and 3.73's

1st 43mph
2nd 64 mph
3rd 93mph
4th 118mph
5th 156mph
6th 241mph

Still pushing it at 118mph 4-5 shift point.

29" brings that to 123mph

Not dissin' just saying that might be right at the cusp for some guys.

The Evolution Performance Inc. 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L 4V In The 11's! 11.82@118 MPH Pass and Dyno Video Making 405 RWHP and 375 RWTQ

Sucks to think 11.82'ish is that cusp for 5th gear....assuming 7k RPM of course :)

I don't see the car going much fast NA without reducing weight. Once you go power adder, obviously 373 arn't the gear of choice.

Also, what's to say we can't raise the limiter 500 rpm?

No doubt, just saying there is some tweaking that is going to have to be done to make it all work.

Just wish nobody had to do the math to make it all work :)

What's the torque rating of the 2011 6 speed?

The new MT82 manual is designed by Fords JFT joint venture with Getrag in Germany and built in a four-way joint venture plant in China. It features synchromesh on all gears, including Reverse, even in the six-cylinder version. The engineers tell us it is a slick-shifting unit thanks to ball bearings and pivoting shift forks on the shift rails, and there are positive shift stops inside the gearbox.

The box features a middle bulkhead for much better shaft support and a two-piece housing for reduced driveline bending. All gears are honed or ground, then hard-finished for quiet running. The synthetic lube is fill-for-life. Center distance is 82 mm, an insignificant millimeter closer than the out-going Tremec. Weight is 49 kg (108 pounds), and the torque capacity 375 lb-ft.

I hope it works for ya's, not saying to eliminate the standard at all.

Just how much the auto filled the gap :)

why would ford put a better torque capacity trans in the mustang gt than the gt500. Think about it. Just because it is new doesn't mean it is better. The trans only needs to handle the torque made by the engine plus some safety factor and last time I check mustang gt doesn't make more torque than gt500. Also one reason they didn't put tr6060 in the mustang gt is to save cost and also to keep gt500 at a higher spec.
