True! A built shortblock will go in my 07 if I ever detonate the stock block. My wife is warming up to the old racing adage: "you have to pay to play."

Here's my two best timeslips from this past Saturday: 11.79 & 11.85. My worst pass of the day was a 12.01 (a hint of tire spin off the line yielded a worse 60' time)....

And because everyone loves videos, here's my 11.79 pass from Saturday. I'm in the far lane with my alloy gray '07 GT while my friend Rhonda is in the near lane in her kona blue '11 GT (she ran a 12.30 this pass). Click on the pic below to play the video. Here's my first pass of the day Saturday (11.85 @ 114) against a Mercedes E63. He ran quicker than me, but I tree'd him with an .040 reaction time for the win....

Too bad you red lighted on the kona blue run, That was a nice pass. What tires you running out back?

Luckily, the red light was a test n tune run, so no money on the line. My car is really launching hard. My 60' times for Saturday were 1.66, 1.70, and 1.74. This is with BFG 275/40/17 drag radials set at 20 psi and a 2nd gear burnout to warm them up.

That Mercedes ended up going over 120 mph later that day. We were parked next to each other in the pits comparing notes all day. Mid 11's from a heavy 4 door uber-luxury car is incredible! He had slicks, headers, and a custom tune. Otherwise stock 6.2L N/A V8.

I hate to bring a old thread back but I have been running the ht0 plugs at factory gap for 3 years and no issue. The gap is .040 I believe.
