Got the old plugs out using the TSB method, broke none. YAY! I did a search on multiple forums and didn't get a definitive answer to this question. Because I used PB on all 8 plugs overnight (probably a tablespoon per plug), should I change the oil after putting in the new plugs? Maybe I'm being paranoid, but was hoping for your guys experience in the past. I take pride in having my car perfect so I want to do it right. Thanks, any help is greatly appreciated.

Side note, a big THANK YOU to forum member Taxman for loaning me his Lisle tool for only the price of shipping. It's because of this forum that I know how to do anything on my mustang.

You probably won't get a definitive answer on this, some will say change and some will say don't bother. Since your asking the question that means your a little worried about it so I feel you already answered your own question, change it. It certainly won't hurt to change it. No matter what you do if that stuff is in the cylinders it may smoke and chug a little on start up.

I think you could leave it for another 1500 (as long as it doesn't take 6 months+ to get there)

that will be a couple months.. It smoked like crazy when I fired it up a few minutes ago, but appears to be fine now. Thanks for the help!

smoke would be expected.

96k on the odometer and this is the first time I have changed the plugs. I consider this a lucky day considering what others have gone through with these stupid plugs.

yup, broke one on my buddys 5.4 f150. They can be a bitch. If your worried change it so you wont think about it any more. at least on these cars if they do break they are right there in the open and not up under a firewall or some other cramped place.

I wouldn't worry about 4 oz PB blaster in 6 quarts of oil. Most of that PB probably already burned off anyway.
