spray with boss intake 2011+

hey guys im new here,just found out about this site. Anyways is anyone spraying there 5.0 with the boss intake? i heard the nx plate kit with the 90* fitting wont clear the hood.

Check with Late Model Restoration. They had a Nitrous Outlet plate that is supposed to work with the Boss intake manifold. In fact, I'm pretty sure they did a write-up on the install of the Boss intake manifold with that particular plate on this very forum. Email or call them and I'm sure they will tell you if that plate will clear the stock hood.

I found these but don't know if they'll work because you'll still need something to hold the jet because fitting on the plate holds it currently. I've got a nx plate kit but i'm still deciding whether or not I want the boss mani. Also I have no idea what the plate is threaded for but I assumed 1/8 and I know the line is d4 at the bottle and goes to a d3 at the plate...

i just picked up the mani this week summit has it on sale for 385$ im just looking for more trap speed at the track and ive heard it picks up power from 5500 to 7500.

I ran this same setup. It stumbled off the launch a lot. You needed to changed the fuel fitting.

the NX fitting doesn't clear the hood and the fuel line is too short.

thanks for the help guys im going to spray my car soon. but gotta get some slicks first to get my 60ft down cant break 2.2 on radials i wheel hop bad. and still was able to get a 8.20 at 94 but i think i should be in the 7s with that trap speed?

i go 7.55 at 93 mph on motor in the 1/8.

Do any of you in the hot summer areas such as Texas leave your bottles in the trunk without any issues? Would a bottle blanket help?

we have a couple of people running our plates. Our plates will work with the boss manifold and the stock intake.

I know last summer was pretty brutal, did you monitor the bottle pressure any last summer?

Yeah. I would purge it down when needed. I dont dailey drive mine
