My automatic Gt runs good and smooth but the other day I was in reverse and needed to backup fast with authority and it jerked sputtered. I then went to a parkinglot to test this out and noticed when in reverse if I backup easy (normal) there's no problem but if I have to stick the throttle in reverseit sputters. Anybody got any ideas???? Traction control is off

This only happens in reverse and my reverse works good and doesn't slip or take a longtime to shift into.. Very Strange. I can powerbrake and burn rubber in reverse but if I just stick the throttle like halfway it will sputter and jerk until I ease up on it.. Any ideas wat it could be?
I used the search and nobody has posted anything like this before!!

whatta mystery

Doing burnouts in reverse is 99% of your problem. I'm sure most people will tell you its a problem with your tune. Pay someone a $100 to do a dyno tune while your in reverse. You will have the fastest reverse mustang on the planet!

It all started when entering I95 south and the mile long backup came into view, so I hit the brakes and jammed reverse and rearview said clear, only needed 25yrds. so I gave her about 30% throttle, peeled alittle then sput sput buck and pop. Ever since then It's bothered me and the Rev Limiter fact entered my mind but just couldn't believe it, why would they do that?? We've all needed to backup in a hurry right?? Well right about then here comes a friggin truck and I had to slam er back into drive and go (griiiiind).. I will never do that again. Guess the time I pwerbraked and got smoke it bounced off of it and I quit at same time because it didn't seem like the limiter engaged but maybe I quit just before.

Now I know it's not a problem
