Seeing if anyone has any opinions I'm having issue with car not wanting to start and also running issue. It's an 07 gt that I just removed edelbrock sc setup and put stock parts back on to go turbo in spring but in meantime I want it to be drive able. Everything is back to stock except for stage 2 comp nsr cams with lockouts, delete plates, catback, and bap. It will run on the tune for edelbrock but when I try to just put strategy tune in with Sct car will kinda start then dies then if it warms up and shut it off it cranks and cranks then barely will idle and eventually die. It has no check engine lights, do I need to have a tune for the lockouts and cams? Is that my starting and running issue?

A strategy tune will not run a motor with that many mods. Cams are not a "close to stock" item, lol.

actually.. i think it's most likely the BAP
if the cam lockouts are causing an issue, you'll likely get a DTC associated with VCT

eitherway.. get a tune :)

I doubt it runs long enough to generate any real codes. You need a tune for the delete plates and cams even when installed separately. The BAP isn't helping but the computer should still be able to pull voltage to get the output where it needs to be regardless. Are you actually running the stock air box too?

But yeah, get a tune, lol

the strategy tune has an option for CMCV plates.. but even without, car should start.

The only cams I'm aware of the will supposedly run with out a tune are hotrods FWIW. I would imagine the NSR cam's he has are just too far removed from what the computer can keep running without a tune. What air box is on the car? Tube diameter?

Yes stock air box and stock cats. It will run and sit and idle sometimes so it should throw code. Like I said it will run and drive on supercharger tune but it dumps raw fuel and loads up but that tune was tuned with the cams and lockouts as well. I guess I really just need a tune for the way it is and go from there.

FWIW when I first installed 127300 cams (same as yours but more lift) I was able to run without changing the tune but it would sometimes stall or be hard starting. This was with vct enabled.

The fact that it runs on the Edelbrock tune but not on the strategy tune probably means you need a tune to account for the locked out cams. I'd suggest running the Edelbrock tune for now with the injectors you used with it but the throttle body is different and will cause a failsafe condition.

Get a tune. Lito could probably get you set up quickly.

Voltage output is below spec if I remember correctly. Sounds like the alternator is going
