Got my hood back, it's prepped and all it needs is paint. The hood was pretty jacked up so there is A LOT of work in this hood and we just want to make sure the hood will hold up before the paint is applied. So, here is the hood in pre-paint mode. The hood pins are Scott Drakes ones, I like them.

When the hood is finished I will post up better pics. Jon (Nastynoych347) is doing the work, the guy is AMAZING!

That's the hood I would love to have on my car.

What was all messed up with it? I thought Steeda hoods took minimal prep work before paint?

I bought it used, the previous owner beat the tar out of it and didn't care about it. I'm sure a new Steeda hood is MUCH easier to prep and paint than this one was. The previous owner didn't even prep the hood, just recieved it in the mail, sprayed paint on it and that was it. The sun had it's way. Hopefully we saved this hood from any more abuse.

Yes sir. I was hell bent on this hood from the day I bought my 09 GT. I was determined to get a Steeda and nothing else. I love this thing!! If the hood holds up then there should be paint and clear on it by the end of next week. Very excite.

Did you guys skim the sides slightly? My hood was too big for my fenders. It barely hit the driver's side front corner of the fender when fully shut. The other side could barely fit a piece of paper in there.

Awesome if your not painting your splitter it would be cool if you left the middle flat and painted the sides, on your car it would be subtle plus i havent seen that done yet on black!

Congrats!
