I think a cowl hood would look killer on your car Laura, no matter the size, but the quality is a key. Here's my reasoning. My hood vs. My Fiances hood. Mine is a 3 in Trufiber and hers is a Steeda Cowl. Hers is by far a better quality and the finish was awesome. Hardly no prep time and the paint has no stress cracks or fading and look great. It has been on her car for about 2 years now. Mine on other hand. Ok quality, really sucked in my opinion and my body shop guy, wavy as hell from not being able to block it smooth so its an eye sore to me, no one else sees is but me but im anal about it. But the only reason I choose it was because I wanted a cowl hood that was 3 in or bigger that started from the very front of the hood and not 6 inches up from the tip of the hood and start. But heres a pic of the hoods and on that performance white and black wheels Laura, a cowl hood would be bangin!!!!!!!

They are not in the sig pic, I actually use the struts from UPR but they don't attach to the glass hood very well so I am making up a better mounting bracket while the car is down. The reason for the struts problem with glass hoods is overcoming the pressure in the cylinders when you close the hood will eventually cause the hoods to warp out of shape.
Those are the ones I use now and they look great .

No hood pins for me since i'm not a fan of them but for whatever reason on my 95 or old fox I wouldn't have a cowl hood without pins in fear of the hood lifting while driving. I have had the s197 up to maybe 80mph since the hood as been on and it's much more stable than my stock hood was so you can take that for what it's worth unless your just going for the looks as well as extra security. Any pics of the foose hood?

after seeing thump_rrr's car I will definately be painting it black in the center!
