About a year ago i put Steeda UDP on my 06 GT. Everything was great. At the begining of this week my car deveopled a curping noise. I thought it was a bad idler pulley. I check them all and everything was good. So i left the car set at home. Started the car one day and the curping was worse. Didnt have time to mess with it then. Well today i started the car and there was this grinding sound coming from my engine. I shut it off quick and thought ooooo shit. So i start to investgate. Took off belt to see what was wrong. The outer ring on the balencer was loose from the inner ring and was rubbing agaist the timing cover. You know for a SFI approved balencer, iam not impressed. Car was never over revved. What a bunch of crap! Just venting.

You got a defective part, is what it sounds like. Tons of people run these pulleys with absolutely no problems. Remember, your choice to modify your car comes at some risk, just like buying a car. When you modify a car, in many cases you can improve the car, ie:higher quality parts, but you run a higher risk of having an aftermarket part fail on you. It's the risk we all take, and for the most part, we're willing to take that risk, that's why we're here. :beerchug2:

It can happen once in a blue moon. Give us a call and we'll warranty it no problem!

Just to prepare you, we are going to want to see a picture if possible of the part to verify it for our manufacturing dept, and we'll send a tag with the new one for you to send the bad one back. If you can send the picture to [email protected] , Hector will be here tomorrow, and he'll be able to help you out.

CHECK THEM!

I know of at least 20 that have had a little flash on the crank pulley that needed grinding.

Keep in mind, check EVERYTHING you get new... 'bolt on' dosent mean just bolt it on and go ;)

What exactly does a "curping" noise sound like?
